Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees

  • Duration: 1-2 years
  • What do they cover: The amount you will get as the scholarships strictly depends on the country you chose to pursue your course. It mainly is proportional to the tuition fees but it covers other expenses including insurance, travel, living expenses, as well as course fees.
  • Qualification:  This program is not limited to students from specific parts of the world. It is open for everybody. Any student who has earned an undergraduate degree from any recognized university is eligible.

Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowship

  • Duration – 6-9 months
  • What do they cover: This fellowship covers J-1 Visa support, accident and sickness program, a monthly stipend, a roundtrip airplane ticket in the economy class, as well as a decent allowance for settling.  
  • Qualification: This is a very specific scholarship limited only to Indian students who have earned a Ph.D. from registered institutions. Also, the students require an affiliation with a Host institution in the United States during the period of their grant. If the date of their Ph.D. thesis submission is after the end date of this grant, they will not be accepted. The applicants need to upload a copy of their published paper in the online form they fill. They also allow the students to share the excerpts of their thesis from their Master’s program.

Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships

  • Duration: 1-2 years
  • What do they cover: They cover the tuition of the student, as well as the living cost and other related costs. 
  • Qualification: The students should not only have three years of experience but they should also need to give the commitment of returning to India and of giving back to the community. Other requirements are three years of work experience, having displayed effective leadership skills, and aggregated marks 55% in the degree equivalent to bachelor degree of the United States.

 Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowships

  • Duration: 0-9 months
  • What do they cover: This fellowship covers J-1 Visa support, accident and sickness program, a monthly stipend, a roundtrip airplane ticket in the economy class, as well as a decent allowance for settling.  
  • Qualification: This fellowship is limited to, as the name suggests, only for students hailing from India willing to pursue Ph.D. The applicants are required to register with Ph.D. in any recognized Indian institution to study in the United States. Just like the Fulbright-Kalam fellowship, the students need to submit can’t be earlier than the maximum of three months from the date of submission. They also allow the students to share the excerpts of their thesis from their Master’s program.

Great Wall Program

  • Duration: 1 year
  • What do they cover: Since the Great Wall Program is a full scholarship it completes the overall expenses including the accommodation, medical insurance, stipend, and needless to mention the tuition fees. 
  • Qualification: Students applying to this scholarship must be less than 45 years of age and must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree or their equivalent.
  • They have very clear requisites – the person applying should be not older than 45 years old and should have an undergraduate or a master’s degree (their equivalent will also be accepted). 
  • More details: The scholarship is limited to the students hailing from developing countries who wish to study or conduct research in the ever-growing country of China. Inlaks Scholarship

  • What do they cover: The Inlak scholarship covers the amount of up to US$100,000.
  • Qualification: The students should have Indian origin, a degree from a well-reputed university, should not be older than 30 years.
  • More details: If you want to go to a North American country or even a European country, this scholarship is for you. But you should be applying for the courses in the field of Music and Composition, Special Education and Law, theatre and Dance, Fine Arts, Design and Fashion Design, Communications (Film, Television, Journalism, Business Administration, Applied Arts, and Conservation, Architecture.

National Overseas Scholarship Scheme by the Indian Government

  • What do they cover: This is a holistic scholarship offer by the government of India. Under this, your tuition fees, travel expenses, maintenance, as contingency allowance will be covered.
  • Qualification: If you meet the criteria given below, you are good to go –
  1. If you belong to Traditional Artisans, Landless Agricultural Laborers, Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Denotified Nomadic, and Scheduled Castes.
  2. If you have gotten 55% in your bachelor’s degree in case you are applying for masters or the same number in Masters if you are applying for a Ph.D.
  3. Should not be older than 35 years.
  4. The combined income of the family should not be higher than six lakhs. 
  5. Should not have more than one sibling who got this very scholarship.
  • More details – This scholarship is limited to students who are looking to pursue Masters or Ph. D in these fields: Pure Sciences and Applied Sciences, Engineering, Luxury Brand Management, Agricultural Sciences and Medicine Accounting and Finance; Humanities and Social Science, International Commerce. Orange Tulip Scholarship

  • What do they cover: The amount this scholarship cover varies. It could cover 100% of your tuition fee, but they can also deduct 25% or even 50% from the fee. It is well within their rules to only cover the living expense or just the visa fees.   • Qualification: You can get this scholarship only if you are an Indian student. Either you should be in the process of enrolling in Holland or have gotten admission to a Dutch university.
  • More details – This scholarship aims to give opportunities to talented Indian students who wish to get a bachelor’s or even a master’s degree in Holland. 
  • Deadline: The students need to apply before April of the preceding year.

  • Duration: 1 year
  • What do they cover: The Great Education scholarships cover the entire tuition fees of the student.
  • Qualification:  The student must be a resident of India and must have been selected in one of the many selected universities of the United Kingdom. The student should also have displayed the leadership skills and potential to manage people.

  • Duration – 1 year
  • What do they cover: They cover the tuition fees of £8000. 
  • Qualification: Students must be of Indian origin already admitted to any University of Scotland from the designated list. The students are also required to offer proofs that they can afford to live in Scotland and pay the remaining of the fees.
  • More Details – Offered by the government of Scotland in collaboration with the universities in their country, this scholarship is for the students who want to study for masters in the fields such as technology, science, and healthcare, medical sciences creative industries, renewable and clean energy. The Heinrich Böll Foundation scholarship

  • Duration: The usual period of your term, could also be extended by one semester.
  • What do they cover: They offer a very precise monthly allowance of €850.

  • What do they cover: Between Rs.1,00,000/- to Rs.10,00,000
  • Qualification: Being the most popular loan scholarships for students hailing from India, you should cut. Students must be Indian residents must be having a bachelor’s degree from Indian University which is recognized. Final year students are also eligible to apply for this program if they have admission in a master’s program in any reputed foreign university.
  • More Details – If you are a student with a good academic record and also have gotten credit for making your presence felt you can this scholarship. This one-time loan scholarship is for you if you are undertaking master’s, Ph.D., or Postdoctoral studies, regardless of any field. But you should just be in the first stage of your course. Scholarships by The Lady Meherbai D Tata Education Trust

  • What do they cover: This is supposed to be a gift scholarship which is why the allowed amount varies and could be anywhere from INR 3 lakhs to 6 lakhs.
  • Qualification: If you are an Indian woman with a graduation degree up your sleeve, who also have gotten the degree from one of many recognized universities this is for you.
